Freedom Development Roadmap

Short Term (1-3 month horizon):

Windows

• Improve installer (move from msi to exe)
• Enable automatic update checking (through installer)
• More robust “offlining” for those with non-Windows managed adapters
• Windows environment variable bugfix

Mac

• Increase efficiency of offline rulesets
• Fix VPN and VNC/Virtualization network adapter pass-through bug
• Enable automatic updating

Long Term (3+ month horizon, requires significant time and effort):

Windows

• Figure out how to do a “permissive mode” in Windows.  This is a very challenging bug, because the Windows and Mac version operate quite differently.  Let’s just say that the Windows mechanism is unelegant.
• Support for scheduling

Mac

• Cocoa Rewrite!!!!
• Support for streaming music services
• Support for scheduling
